Bringing focus to a scattered AI effort at a B2B SaaS company
A product org running a dozen disconnected AI experiments needed a way to choose what to actually build.
Service: AI Strategy & Roadmap Illustrative case study. Representative of our work and anonymized. It does not name a client, and the outcome is described qualitatively.
The challenge
Teams across the company had started their own AI experiments. There was energy and spend, but no shared view of which efforts mattered, and leadership could not say what would be in production in a year.
What we did
- Mapped every candidate use case to a specific cost, revenue, or cycle-time effect in the business.
- Scored each on value and feasibility using the Use-Case Value Map, turning a long list into a ranked portfolio.
- Sequenced the survivors around proof points and killed the ideas that would never reach production.
The outcome
The company moved from a dozen parallel experiments to a small, ordered set of bets with named owners and decision gates. The first workflow was scoped to ship rather than to demo.
