The challenge
There was pressure to modernize claims with AI, but also real exposure if a system made poor decisions at scale.
What we did
- Mapped the claims lifecycle to where AI changed speed and accuracy versus where it added risk.
- Prioritized the safe, high-value steps and staged the sensitive decisions behind evidence.
- Built a governance posture into the roadmap rather than bolting it on later.
The outcome
The insurer had a claims AI roadmap that led with defensible wins and sequenced the harder decisions responsibly.
